SENIOR YARD STAFF/RDA COACH
RDA Glasgow has been providing Riding and Therapy Sessions to participants with Additional Support Needs for over 50 years. Our purpose built centre is based in Summerston and at capacity has stabling for 20 horses. We provide sessions 7 days a week from 10am till 9pm.
We are looking to recruit 2 Senior Yard Staff/RDA Coaches. Candidates should be enthusiastic team members with a passion for the equestrian industry.
The role of Senior Yard Staff is to assist with the day to day running of the yard and provision of riding and therapy sessions.
The preferred candidates will have experience in all aspects of the running of a stable yard. Whilst the RDA Coaching Certificate is not essential at the outset it is a requirement of the post to be gained within 6 months from commencement of employment and therefore a keen interest in coaching is desired. Training will be given to attain this qualification.
There is also a requirement for post holder to hold the BHS Stage 2 Complete Certificate and whilst not essential at the outset this will also be required to be gained within 6 months, training will be given towards completion of this certificate.
These are full time positions. A further requirement of the post is shared Caretaker Duties for which accommodation is provided. Salary in the region of £20,000pa

Board Trustees
RDA Glasgow has been providing riding experiences for disabled riders across Glasgow for many years. We are based in a purpose-built Centre in Summerton and have 9 members of staff and 18 ponies and horses when we are at capacity.
Our trustees are key to delivering this experience and to making sure that the charity complies with charity law and good governance practice, as well as planning to secure the future of the charity.
We are looking to recruit several Trustees (minimum of 2) to help us develop the charity and make sure that it can continue to deliver and develop this important service to our community.
We are interested in speaking to people who has some background in any aspect of business planning and development or finance, charity fundraising and the Equestrian Sector, but would be particularly keen to speak to someone with an HR or a legal background. The role is unpaid and will typically require between 7 to 15 hours per month. While some availability during working hours is desirable, trustees’ meetings usually take place in evenings and a highly flexible approach can be taken regarding other duties and tasks.
