Volunteering

Volunteers are a key role to delivering the services at Glasgow RDA. If you are 14 years or older we would love to hear from you.

There are various ways to get involved.  If you already have experience with Horses and Ponies then this could be just the place for you. If not, don’t worry as training will be given and there are lots of other things to do which don’t involve horses.

  • Yard Helpers – Taking care of our horses and ponies by way of grooming, mucking out, taking them to and from the field and any other daily chores which are required.
  • Session Helpers – Assisting in our sessions by leading or side walking.
  • Centre Maintenance – DIY, gardening, painting, cleaning and variety of other chores helping to keep the centre spick and span.
  • Fundraising/Events – taking part in helping us organise fund raising events at the centre and in the community.

Whether you can help regularly or for a few hours occasionally there is a place for you at the centre.

What’s in it for you? We offer a worthwhile and rewarding opportunity to work in a safe, fun environment.

Volunteering can enhance your CV and assist with job opportunities.  You can also receive your Duke of Edinburgh Award by Volunteering at the centre and on top of that you will be out and about more. it has benefits for your physical fitness without even realising it, meet new people and work as a team.
